UK measures & responsible serving

Our home recipes use ml. Gin, rum, vodka and whisky base pours use 25 ml or 50 ml. The amount of each alcoholic ingredient is listed in the recipe; this is not the amount of pure alcohol.

For sales by the glass, these four spirits normally use 25 ml or 35 ml and their multiples, with one basis used per premises. A mixture with two or more other drinks is exempt from that specified-quantity rule. Recipe measures are not a certification of legal compliance.

1 litre means 1,000 ml of premix before ice dilution. Commercial sales and deliveries require the applicable licensing, labelling and age checks.
